Roles & Responsibilities Location: Remote/Bangalore, Karnataka Experience Level: Entry Level This is an opportunity to join the engineering team of a fast-growing global mental health company. As a Junior Backend Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable systems that power our AI-driven products. Role & Responsibilities: - - - - - - - • Core Development: Design, build, and maintain backend services powering Wysa's core • platform while writing clean, modular, testable, and production-ready code. • API & Data: Develop and maintain REST APIs, data models, and background processing jobs. • System Stability: Actively debug and resolve production issues to improve system stability. • Optimization: Continuously optimize performance, scalability, and reliability, while evolving • database schemas and data storage patterns for long-term growth. • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with frontend, AI, DevOps, and product teams to deliver • features end-to-end. • Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, engineering discussions, and follow secure coding, • privacy-by-design, and secure SDLC practices. • AI Integration: Demonstrate practical familiarity with using AI tools and APIs to improve • development workflows and system capabilities. Qualifications: - - - • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Hands-on experience in Backend development or similar roles. • A proactive mindset with a passion for quality and process improvement. • Must-Have Skills: - - - • Strong proficiency in Javascript (specifically NodeJS). • Experience with MongoDB. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive learning mindset. Preferred Skills: - - - - Experience with API & system designing. Knowledge of database modelling. Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance productivity. Exposure to agile environments.
